Default Antenna Question

I have a 2001 A6 with the 4.2. I just got it during the summer months and I love it so far. I have a few questions that deal with the antenna in my car. First is where is it located? And second if it is in the back window will frost or ice on the back window make it not work as good. I ask that because in the last few days here in Colorado it has been cold enough for frost to form on my windows at night. It also seems that radio station are not coming in as clear as they should in the morning but in the afternoon after it warms up, everything is fine. Any clue would be nice.

Default RE: Antenna Question

The antena is in the rear window. Theorhetically anything blocking the antenna is going to decrease reception, but ive never heard of fronst doing it.
