Default APR and GIAC ECU upgrades

I have an 00 A6 2.7T and for the past year and a half was running the GIAC software. I was impressed with the horsepower gains but with GIAC's more aggressive programming, the car was not as smooth. I just recently switched to the APR program and I am much happier. The horse power gains are almost identical, but the real difference is the cars drivability. The car runs smoother, idols better, plus APR has some awesome features that can be controlled with your cruise control buttons.

This is something I wanted to pass on to all the Audi crazy's out there!

So you basically just tossed away a $600 GIAC ECU upgrade?

I am really glad that you posted this because I got APR about 2 months ago too and I thought the power gain was awesome but I always heard that GIAC was more powerful. Thanks for letting me know that I am not missing out on anything huge.

I basically threw away a $600 GIAC chip! Oh well!

The main reason is I am having APR down pipes installed on the car which would conflict with the GIAC chip and would throw a CEL.
