that might be true but if your pump is faulty, blocked etc ,the coolant is going to come out just as fast,mate had a astra was flooding out coolantunder the engine just cos his pump had broken

well my mechanic had a look today and said the aux pump was totaly in bits ,now he says i have 3 options ,to replace pump ,to buy a relocation kit which moves the pump to the front of the engine or to totaly remove pump and by pass it using a hose
he says the last is the cheapest option and he can do it straight away ,as i need the car asap is it okay to go with this option,will it not harm the car in anyway

I guess it all depends on your risk tolerance. I believe that several owners have commented they have used option 3, removed the pump, and have not suffered any ill consequences. It defintely seems like the quickest, least expensive option.

think il get him to do it the cheapest then he can fit a pump in later on ,he said it wasnt
too bad getting everything off in the end took him way less hours than he thought
