So I'm having some issues with my headlights/fog lights, first off this is a 99 audi made in germany and currently driven in Canada. The fog lights turn on automatically when I turn on the ignition and upon turning my low beams on they turn off. I'm not sure if that is the way theyre supposed to behave but I was trying to get both low beams and fog lights to stay on when I turn on my low beams so if anyone has any tips it'd be much appriciated.

However this isn't my issue; it's that my fog lights turn off after an interval of time differing from 2-15 mins of leaving them on, then if i turn off the engine or if i turn on the low beams for 5-10 mins and go back to fog lights theyll work again. Now the only issue I can think of that would do this is too much power being given off, however the bulbs are 50 watts. Could there be a problem with the power output of the fog light headlamp? Any suggestions would be a great help.
