So I just paid 3200.00 to put a new transmission in my 99 a6 2.8.......I call the transmission shop today...the day I was going to pick it up...he now says that the Valve Body is out and he did not replace it? Idk why he did'nt but I have tryed looking it up online and nothing.... This car has been out of service for about 2 months.

Sounds like a shady mechanic, a new transmission comes with a new valve body. Shouldn't have a problem, sounds like he is trying to pull a fast one on you.

 

Yes....A new valve body....coming from a audi dealership...

 

Are you saying you paid 3200 dollars for used transmission? Now that used tranny needs a valve body? Or did you buy a new/reman transmission that happened to come with a defective valve body?
