Experiencing this same issue on my 01 a6 2.7t. Can anyone confirm if the fuse is located in the same place? I have 2 "auxiliary" cooling fans and neither of them are working. Had some recent fuses blown after a jump start. I'm fairly certain the fuse is blown but I cannot find it.

Thanks to anyone that maybe be able to help.

If you have proven that the fan - fans are bad ie not a blown fuse or a bad temp sensor you might find this link helpful.

Another check would be to disconnect the plug to the fan and run a jumper from the battery to see if it works. You need to run two wires - the ground and power.

As for the replacing the fan without removing front bumper - it is possible. I'm not saying it's easy, however it's doable. If you have long and thin hands it will be even easier. The main problem is to unhook the old cable from the metal clips around radiator fan - there are two clips at the bottom of the radiator fan housing quite difficult to reach, however it's possible to do it. The electrical connector is located under the black plastic cover that covers Power Steering fluid reservoir.
I have a 2004 with the same issue and would like to check the same fuses. Does anyone know where the fan fuses are on the later model? I removed the lower cover but didn't see the described fuse block. Any help is appreciated

i also cannot find the coolant fan fuse, I have checked the fold relay panel under the steering wheel and i do not have #20 or #21 which should be the fuses.
Has anyone else ran into this problem.

Your car is overheating. You need to stop driving it.

So I'm having the same problem. I was told I had a bad aux fan so I replaced it w a junkyard fan that I tested and it functioned perfectly when hot wired but will not turn on once plugged in. I checked the big 40 amp fuse behind the driver storage area and it was good. Then I went to the coolant sensor @ the lower radiator hose. After running the ac until the compressor switched off and started blowing warm air I let the car run and pulled the connector and tried jumping the terminals and nothing happened. A test light will barely light when stuck into two out of the four terminals. Not sure where to go from there. Is there a fuse on the side of the dash? I don't have the cover for that fuse panel so I do.t know what fuses are what therel

Just to bring in the other side: my fan (1998 A6 2.8L 30V) is NOT SHUTTING OFF!!!!

I ordered 'temperature switch' (passenger side, lower corner of radiator/condenser) and plan to replace it soon.
I assume it is 'stuck'.

Fan makes an annoying noise (loud) at high RPM, so I want that fixed.

The switch they send me is blue (hope its the correct one).

Hello guys, if you may, I lost complete power to climate control and ac fan on 2002 audi Quattro tt, while trying to bypass low pressure switch, blew something in the process. Fuses are fine, replaced fan module under battery and still nothing, I was told there's no ac relay under the dash. Help.lol
