Default Bad Rear main seal

My RMS is leaking although it isn't that bad. Only losing about .5-1qt over 3500 miles. I just feel it may get bad in the winter when things start to shrink. Is a full engine pull the only way to fix this? Anyway to DIY? I doubt it so to make it worth it what else would you do during the engine pull?

With a budget of about 4K I am thinkingTB, clutch, piggies, misc other stuff. I think that would be around there with labor...Has anyone had this replaced?
