Default Brake Icon Flashing - What's going On?

I just bought a 2002 A6 4.2 with 21k miles on it. It's in great shape, but since I picked up the car we've had a few annoying problems with it.

My latest problem is that when I take a sharp turn really hard (i.e. accelerate through the turn), the "Brake" light on the dashboard starts to flash and a beeping sound is heard. This lasts for about 5 seconds, and when the car has straightened out after the turn, the light goes off and the beeping stops. It does not happen at every turn, I have to drive through the turn aggressively to make it happen.

We took the problem to the dealer, who said that the brake fluid needed to be topped off. Well, the problem came back this morning. Any ideas on what could be happening here?

This does sound like your pads are starting to get slightly warn. They have built in sensors that alert you when tolerances are starting to get low. 21k does sound a liitle early but mybe not if the previous owner liked to drive it hard!
