Default Brake light problem.

Just installed new control arms and break Pads in my 99 a6 quattro. Due to wiring issues im not able to connect the brake pad wiring to the harness on the car which I believe is triggering my ABS light to constantly stay on even from startup. But after driving my car around for a short amount of time my brake light beeps and blinks. Checked the fluid and its maxed. My driving does not seem to be affected though...any answers to what it may be?

I had the same issue and after I check the error code, I found out it was a bad abs wheel sensor. I changed the sensor and everything went back to normal.

Yep -- you probably screwed up an ABS sensor when you did the brake job.
