Good day all

I have noticed that my brake pedal is hard when I start up, but after a few minutes of idlingit is back to normal. Sometimes I hear an air leak from the egine, after I have switched of the engine. It is almost as if the system is loosing air somehow. Could someone please exlpain to me what might be wrong. I had the brake booster overhauled, but the problem still persists.

Thank you for your input

Michael

its normal hard when the engine is off and softens up when engine on but you say a few minuets before it goes soft? does the peddle seem like it has too much travel? if yes there is air in the system

Hi Dave

I have to apply more pressureafteri have started the engine, this last for a few minutes (too long)and then only it seems normal. The pedal travel is fine. What could the"air leak noise" after a trip mean?

Looking fwd to your reply...

Michael

it could be the vacuum pipe from the servo but it could be inside the cabin from the peddle area then its only a seal and you can buy kits but not an easy job

im still thinking air in the system but the air sound could be from the secondary AIR system and would be normal
