Is it a simple bulb replacement or?

 

My audi has a little dimmer switch that will dim the lights. If it happens as your car warms up its probably just a loose wire or a bad connection to that, if you have one.

Actually it is known issue. Connector for the center display is soldered to the circuit board and it becomes loose after awhile. Do a search on the forum. There are many threads, but basically it involves either sending your cluster in for a repair, doing the repair on your own, or just replacing the cluster.

 

Are you talking about the backlighting for the speedo and the tach or about the LCD display? hxgaser is right about the lcd display... I thought you meant the backlighting :S
