CHECKING AUTO TRANS FLUID?

RE: CHECKING AUTO TRANS FLUID?
you need to jack the car up in the air. Either by jack stands or a hoist. you need the car to be level but you need to be able to get under the car. run the car for about 5 min. then go under the car to the trans pan. there is a huge allen bolt located in the middle of the trans pan. take out the bolt. there will be a little trans fluid that commes out at first. if there is none you need to fill it.

RE: CHECKING AUTO TRANS FLUID?
Why you asked?
Just for fun or there is a problem?
Fluid level should be checked on running engine with temperature(fluid) 34-45 C.
You need vagcom or any other way to measure the temperature.
There are articles on audiworld and vw forums with precise procedure.

RE: CHECKING AUTO TRANS FLUID?
WELL I GOT THE CODES P0741, P1606 TORQUE CONVERTER LOCK-OFF. WANTED TO MAKE SURE THE FLUID AND ANYTHING I COULD CHECK WAS OK, BEFORE GOING AFTER THE CONVERTER. CAR IS SHIFTING NORMAL, NO HARD SHIFT, NO RPM GOING UP. CODES JUST CAME UP YESTERDAY, I STOOPED USING THE CAR FOR NOW. PLEASE JUMP IN WITH INFO EXPERTS.
