De-Badging Car
Hey guys,
anyone out there debadged there car? I took the A6 and the 2.7T Quattro badges off the trunk. All the 3M glue is gone, but no matter how hard i scrub with goo gone, I CANT get the outline of the emblems off. Its faint, but definatly noticeable.
Anyone else out there done this and gotten rid of the outline?
THANKS!

I would say try a scratch remover/rubbing compund such as 3M, Mother's California Gold Scratch Remover or Meguiar's "PlastX" (may be gentler on the paint than the rubbing compund).
Either one is like $ 5-7. Test a small area, first, before rubbing like crazy.

when i debadged my grand prix, i used a heat gun to soften it up, then used my finger to roll it off like gum. it wasn't the most comfortable option, but i didn't want to risk any kind of scraping knowing i had heated the clear coat.
