Diagnosis, and trouble codes.

Diagnosis, and trouble codes.
i have a 2001 Audi A6 4.2 quattro that i just to my local repair shop because the check engine light was on.
This car has 93,973 miles, and it came back with three different codes. a P1141, PO442 and a PO441. the PO's i believe are emission control failures. My question is just what would be everyones opinion on how soon and what to tackle first.
i got an estimate for a new mass air flow sensor, and with labor it's looking like around $500. i'm a 19 y.o. and do not have that kind of money! Did i make a mistake buying an audi? i'm also aware i need to replace the timing belt and the water pump within the next few months along with these repairs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

I'm a new owner too, and did my research before buying. I'm sure most will agree, that if you can't afford a $500+ repair from time to time, it would be best to own a Toyota or Honda, certianly not an Audi (sorry to say). I too purchased an A6 (2001 2.7T), but did it with the assumption that it would come with a pretty high maintenance bill. Most stuff I can do myself, so I'm hoping it won't be too bad!
