Pretty embarrasing however, does anyone know the procedure for removing the black clips on the DIC's to get at the spark plugs ?

Car is a 2002 A6 with the 3.0 engine. Plugs have 52K on them and I'm pretty sure they need to be replaced.

You are supposed to be able to press with your thumb to get them off but i have found that if you gently slide a medium size flat head into the clip it will release rather easily. Just dont force it.
