Default Does Highway or in town driving affect

the length of time before you start changing belts, thermostat, etc? What does one look for to see if the belt needs replaced?

City driving is much harder on a car because you're constantly accelerating/decelerating so it puts more wear on your engine and tranny. If you're putting ALL highway miles on it you could probably prolong the belt changes slightly. But it's still best to go with timing belt every 60k. You can tell when they're starting to go out if they're loose or show signs of wear.
