Looks like a rear connecting link to me. Try fcpgroton dot com. You might have to call them as their website is a little weak.

Or, you could replace it with a custom made tie-rod and have toe adjustment for the rear.

i'd call it an upper control arm if i was trying to order it. i don't know what else you'd call the upper link between the body and the hub assembly.

@2001A6: i'd agree the half-shaft could bear inspection. i think the paint/rust is more surface/cosmetic, but it bears looking at.

Boy it sure looks like an Upper Control Arm... kinda hard to see it thats it though. Any way to take a good pic of yours?

I just replace mine. It is a rear trailing arm although audi has another name for it. I ordered it from shokan.com. $65 bucks. I just told them it was what I thought was the trailing arm and is shaped like a dog bone and they know right away what it was. Its #40 in the diagram but not a tierod, no tie rods in the rear.

yea i found the part name through the part number lol..took me like 2 months to figure out the name..


bwhinnery did yours come with nuts and bolts? my part is really hard to get off and they saaid the bolt is most likely to snap off when taking this part off so i need the bolts with it.
