Yes that's why I removed the air duct out the way for added room and to prevent me from breaking something. Now the reason I'm replacing it is cuz the o ring itself committed suicide so there is dried coolant all over the sensor. I know I should only prolly replace just the o ring since the sensor itself is fine but I'm taking it as a "better safe than sorry" approach to it. I wouldn't want to replace the o ring and put the old sensor back only to have it jump the cliff a week later and then have to repeat the work all over again.
