Engine Codes keep popping up
yeah im gonna need to get one of those. i had an Accessport for my subaru sti before I sold it and ran all sorts of stuff thru that thing. think i found the problem tho, gonna run up to the nearest dealer (40 miles) and pick up a new PCV and vacuum check valve and see if that solves it. (fingers crossed)
Have you considered getting professional help for your automotive problem?
If you live near NH I can give you the names of a few good head doctors!
Ladies and gentlemen....we have a winner, and it's THIS GUY!!!
So after replacing the fuel filter, MAF sensor, all of the vacuum lines, and the vacuum check valve, it turns out the PCV valve was the culprit. I took it off the engine to get a close look at it and besides being all gunked up a piece of the silicone diaphragm fell out when I turned it over.
One call to the nearest dealership, and a three hour round trip later the car started up and purred like a kitten (gotta get some flowmasters on this thing and change that kitten to a lion). Codes cleared, let it warm up, and drove it for about 40 minutes. Rides a whole hell of a lot smoother than it has since I owned it.
Sincere thanks to all of you who offered your expertise! Without you guys I could have never fixed it myself. I have been on some other forums for my other cars and if you ask a question there the guys will torch you
....none of that here. Classy bunch! Thanks again, hopefully I wont need too much help in the future but if I do I know who to ask!
