Default Engine Codes - Need Help?

Good Day all,
In my first post I mentioned that the check indicator was coming on. So I took the car to an audi mechanic (not the dealer) and he gave me the codes and said that he would have to contact the dealer to decipher the codes. Is there anyone out there that can give a definition to the codes? When I mentioned the issues with the transmission shifting hard in to third when slowing down. Someone responded posting the codes in this forum and maybe somebody can help.
The codes are - under the transmission - P 1857. Under the engine the codes that came up were P 1557, P 1129, and P 0102. Is there anyone that can help out there? I called the dealer myself and they told me that they were too busy to look them up. That's the same story they told the mechanic today.

I just picked up the car over two weeks ago and am totaly impressed with the look, the interior, the power surge when the biturbo kicks in etc..

I also noticed that when turning to the left slowly the car makes a creaking sound. The mechanic said that he thinks the front drivers side axle may need replacing. When I checked the dealer price it seems a little too high for the part only. The other part that he said needs repacing is the front right lower control arm.

I called the used car dealer that I purchased the car from and they told me to bring it in this Friday and they will look at it. I'm afraid they will do a bandaid fix and more issues will arise later.

I appreciate the feedback if anyone has any suggestion or comments. Is the axle something that someone else has had to replace??

P0102 = maf wire short to ground,
P1129 = EVAP valve/ excess fuel in the oil,
P1857 couldn't find that one,

P1557 is you problem and the reason for all the other codes ( unconnected hose to the turbo charger ) this causes over fueling

Thanks Dave. I am still waiting on the dealer to respond.
I am going back to the used dealer on Friday and I will let them know.

Cheers - Rob
