Default Fixed!

I had an ESP warning light come on; within a few miles when ever I would go under 5 mph I would get a beep and a warning message "Parking Brake Malfunction!"

Brought it in to be diagnosed on a VAG and they found one of the signals from the accelerometer in the G419 esp combi sensor was missing. Part was $700 with $240 labor to remove the center console and replace the part. Could have done it myself, but was not 100% confident that it wasn't wiring or something and end up with a $700 part I didn't need. R & R part, all lights gone and it works great again. Part number was 6Q0-907-637-A COMBISENSE.

Mine just went 2005 A6 3.2. ABS Module bad. Part from stealership 1600, yes thats American dollars alright. There is a guy in Virginia that rebuilds them. He has a video on youtube on how to remove it. 235 bucks plus shipping. How can Bosch justify pricing this at $ 1600. It's not the space shuttle for God's sake. PLEASE new readers don't EVER buy an Audi without a warranty. In the last six months over 3500 in parts and labor. Control Arms, wheel bearing, brakes, A/C mixer, I fixed this my self after doing research.

Audi are beautiful, but that's about it. Don't handle like a BMW, arent as reliable or comfortable as a Lexus, Junk if you ask me. Just my opinion

Nope, you just have to know how to work on them. They take patience. Yes, at times some of the parts are expensive but even with some domestic cars to the states have some ungodly expensive components these days. Usually with German cars most of the cost incurred during a repair is labor. In MOST cases anyway. Maybe not in your recent example.

I also own a BMW M6 and it's the same thing with that beast. I'm set to do all 10 spark plugs this winter as well as a rear control arm that has some play in it. I'll admit though, my M6's steering is more "true" than my A6's steering. The Audi steering seems to be much more limp due to the way the power steering systems are set up between the cars.

Thanks
I was told it is my parking brake harness. It's located in the trunk. Removed the truck liner and wheel well shroud to access. There was a lot of corrosion at the harness plug. Too much to try to repair. Replaced the harness and plug, problem solved
