Check prices on the eBay stores, note mileage, and use these as comparison to make sure you're getting a fair deal.

FWIW - I saw one about a week ago with 66,000 miles on it for $2400, which isn't too bad. Even my Audi mechanic said it was a decent price but he could do better, which makes sense. Only touble is that buying one as mentioned involves shipping and they will only ship to a commercial address.

Good luck and, if you would, please post prices that you are finding so other members could us them as a point of reference?

Thank you.

I don't know how good it is. But, I've seen this advertised for a little while now. Prolly worth checking out.

On a used engine with high mileage you will probably need to replace the TB.
Also consider the cost of labor involved to install the engine.

What makes you looking for an engine?

Just to swap the engine is 20-21- hours job.

Consider TB and turbos - quite a bill - many car buying opportunities would be cheaper.
