First time antifreeze change...
Needing to change the antifreezeon my '03 A6 3.0 for the first time since purchasing this car a couple of months ago. I've read in the forum about significant steps required to do this. I'm only familiar with my old Chevy that you just drain it, flush it, fill it and go.
First, what type antifreeze is best to use. Second, is there a more complicated procedure for this car? I read about someone having to bleed their water pump!. Thanks for the advise all.

How many miles are on your car? The (coolant) in your car is a lifetime coolant and doesn't need to be changed, however the water pump will be due with the timing belt so you can take care of it all at once.
When you reach the 80-90k mark have the timing belt and water pump done, this will drain 80% of the coolant and you'll have peace of mind of having new coolant, which really isn't needed.
