Default flashing check engine light on then off ????

I have a 2003 chiped 2.7 a6. When I race it I sometimes get the check engine light flashing. I then let off it and it goes away. Does anyone have any sugestions? Could it just be a sensor problem? The car acts fine just the light goes on. When I let off the accelerator the light goes off.

Sounds like you may be misfiring. Check & see if there are any stored codes.

I think it is most likely an intermittent flux capacitor fault. Turn the car off, get out, round around it 6 times counter clockwise, then 2 times clockwise.

Seriously though, without vaging it, it could be one of 1000 reasons. Take it to AutoZone and have them read the codes.

Best of luck, welcome to the forums.

it most likely is a mis fire. this is a common response from the car if there are several missfires check your vag codes but in the meantime don't accelerate hard untill you do.

2 most common reasons could be plugs/amps are bad
