Flashing Interior Lights
Hi,
could anybody please suggest a cause for my interior lights flashing on and off when they should be on.
For a number of months now, when the rear passenger door is opened, the front and rear passenger roof lights slowly alternate between bright and dim in a regular pattern.
(I put this down to a dirty switch contact or breaking cable in that door harness, but have not acted on it yet).
Yesterday all the interior roof lights, have now started flashing and flickering in a very erratic mannor, whichever door is open and whether or not the interior switches are on or off.
The footwell lights, come on and are constant,so too does the luggage area roof light (the car is an avant (estate) so has three roof light clusters effectively).
The weather conditions were dry when the lights started to flash, but you may like to check out my other post about front passenger footwell carpet being wet.
Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

Most likely its a faulty door latch, you need a VAG COM or factory scan tool to monitor each latch while opening and closing the door to see if the latch is working correctly. 9 times out of 10 its a bad door latch.
