Do you mean the strut mount bushing? That could cause what you're talking about, the other likely cause would be the upper control arm bushings, that squeak you can replicate by pushing down on the fenders, if you hear the squeak then its the upper control arm bushings.
If the noise only happens when turning, then its likely the tie rod ends.
There is also a bearing located within the bushing, but is a seperate piece. Not sure if the bushing could also make this noise. The difference with this squeak from others I have read is it can only be reproduced by turning the wheel and NOT by pushing down on the suspension, which is why I didn't think it would be the control arm bushings. With almost 100k on the car, I might just replace all the wear items in the front suspension and be done with it.

Would be the best bet... it really improves the ride.. more than you'd think.
