Default Fuel Door Not locking.

Hi everyone,
New here to this great forum. I have a A6 avant 2006 and the fuel door doesn't lock. Has anyone else had the same problem, and how easy is it to get to the locking pin to change it?

thanks

PJ

I know on my 03 a6 it does not lock unless you lock all the doors.

Hi Gman 56.
I have tried locking all the doors. Seems like the locking pin has given up the ghost. Just cant see how to get to it to change it.

My fuel door lock never worked since I bought the car many years ago. I can see how someone pried it open probably because it was stuck at one time.
Anyhow I found this article (also years ago) however I never got around to fix it - even though this looks super easy and cheap:
AudiWorld Tech Articles

I hope this helps

Hi, thanks for all your help everyone. It is now working again!! I was working on an alarm issue and saw the mechanism on the inside. Push and pulled the rod a few times, put on some WD40 and it is now working!!.
