I know it's kinda' been covered before, mostly in the A4 forums, but have a 98 A6, lost my driver's side headlight washer cap, bought a new one, had it painted...can't seem to be able to "snap" it back onto the washer nozzle.

You'd think one could turn the headlights on, turn washer on, and the washer nozzle would stay up long enough to "pop" the cap onto the little nubs...NOT.

Any advice and assistance on how best to snap the cap on would be appreciated.

 

You have to gently pry up and hold it in place to pop the cap on.

 

Thanx. Worked out just fine, used pliers to pull and hold the washer assembly above the bumper. Was afraid this might screw up the hydralics.
