Long time ago, i had my car in a shop after accident. When i got my car back, my stereo didnt work. I wasnt able to get my smog check done because the connection for the OBD 2 scanner was not registering to the smog check computer, the guy at the shop said it was do to my stereo wiring???? so i check the fuse box, there was no fuse for the stereo. would the fuse be behind the stereo????

 

possibly in line fuse ... maybe something blew when you had the impact

 

Which year A6? Which stereo? If an aftermarket stereo is incorrectly wired, then it could cause a problem. See www.ross-tech.com ,

 

I got a thing at my work that says 98 to 2001 audi's and vw's might not pass smog if oem HU is not in.
