Help me with some price ideas
I bought a 2003 A6 Q a week back. The drive is great, but there are vibrations all the way from starting the engine. When I start the engine, the vibration is extremely mild, but very nagging. As I go beyond 60mph, there is a severe shaking of the front seats and steering.
I want to take it for a complete check up and servicing. Please advise how much might be the price for a full checkup and regular servicing?

Could also be the Control arms. There are 8 of them in total. If it's the arms you could be looking into some hefty change. Check the rims and tires first. Do it quickly though as that vibration that rumbles you will also rumble and damage your suspension.

Check out this thread here... https://www.audiforums.com/m_590166/tm.htm
Be sure to read my post there. Have a local indy guy do a once over or just start with the least expensive item on the list.
Keep in mind that it is common for the C5 to have these issues due to overall weight and design of the car. Keep an eye on your tires/pressure,get a proper balance, and make sure the alignment is in good shape.
Also, since you say the vibrations begin with starting the engine there may be an issue with the engine mounts. Again, start with the Indy mechanic and/or the least expensive item.
Hope this helps
