Default Help, my audi is acting a little strange.

I have a 2002 a6 4.2 with just under 80,000 miles. The problem is it idles at 500-600rpms but it is steady at that, it doesnt drop more than that or above. The check engine light is on but the code was like PO441 or somethign like that, the diagnostic said something about the left over fuel vapor not being circulated back to the fuel tank? Another strange thing was about two weeks ago my ABS and ESP light came on at the same time, but only stayed on for about 10 minutes?

I realize that it needs a service of a TB and WP, I am selling my 300zx turb and going to use the money to get it serviced. This is what I had in mind
TB,WP,spark plugs, tranny fluid, My brakes squeek everytime I stop so I might get some new brake pads to. But am I missing something? It would be nice if my car idled at a steady 900-1000 rpms, or is 500-600 natural for an audi? It is a v8 i guess.
I am planning on getting all the parts before I bring it to the mechanic so help me out please.

check your vac lines. Did you get gas while the car was running? Is you r gas cap on all the way? Otherwise could be the vapor recovery pump. 900-1000 is a little high for idle. the rpm needles are very sentsative and never hold still on one point.

Yes the gas cap is on all the way for sure checked that. And no absolutely did not get gas while the car was on. And the car in "Drive/sport/manual auto/reverse, it idles at about 500-550, and you can hear it putter just a little, but when Its in park it idles really smooth at like 650-750 and sounds better.

You need to pull the codes with a VAG-COM. Is it Vibrating on idle badly? are you getting any misfires? Can you check your fuel pressure?
