Default hey guys! need some input :)

I am new to the forums but figured this was the place to get some helpful feedback.
I'm going to check out a 95 audi a6 quattro. its got a 150k on it and the owner said everything else is good to go.
My friend said they are known to have tranny issues and I just don't wanna put 1,300 into a clunker.
What should I look for and pay extra attention to?
Thanks!

"everything else" is what? - timing belt? wheel bearings? heating and A/C?

Have you driven the car?
Have you looked in the engine bay?
Have you looked uderneath?

right, extremely vague with detail.
I'm going to look at it right now. Are there any particular things that are common to go out and wear on these that could cost me a nice bit that I should inspect specifically?

Well I mean you're not going to get much of any car for $1,300. So if the interior is in decent condition, the drivetrain works well (yes, including the tranny), then there isn't too much more to complain about. I really don't know much about the '95 though :-/
