Holy Screaming Serpentine Belt
Need some advice on any possible DIYS fixes for this problem.
Cold start the screaming reminds me of a '67 Ford I owned way back when. My A6 screams like a banjee. The voltage stays at or lower than 12 on the gauge. If I let it sit for a minute or two it will stop. If I rev it a couple of times it screams louder but then stops. Understanding that I leave for the office at 6:00 AM I have taken to doing this with the garage door closed so as not to wake the neighbourhood. I do scare the daylights out of my family though.
I thought there was a belt tentioner that was supposed to look after this issue. Is there anything I can chek or do I need to run it back into the mechanic for more rape and pillaging of my wallet?
Cheers
