Arrow How much will driving on a different tire damage the quattro?

OK, so i hit a huge hole and destroyed on of my wheels, now Im forced to drive on the spare for a few days until I get a new wheel and tire. My current tires are 225/40/17 and the spare is 225/45/17. Ive been driving like this for 2 days and itl be atleast 3-4 more before my tire comes.

Also I currently have blizzaks on the car that were used last winter for about 3 months, will be replacing the one I damaged with a brand new one, can the slight difference in tread cause a problem? Thanks in advance.

For a few days you are fine. Just make sure that the permanent new tire is the same model and diameter as the rest of the tires.

None IMO, since you only have 3 months on the other three.

Sounds like the missing manhole cover I hit once.

Anyway, are you using OEM forged wheels?

I had aftermarkets on the car, this is the third car i bought with aftermarket wheels that got destroyed within the first few months of ownership. OEM or nothing from now on, I bought some B5 stockers for my last audi and I just bought some B6 stockers for this one. Thanks for the opinions.

Now im having a problem finding a replacement tire, tirerack stopped carrying my size.
