Default I need help with my axle please!

What size socket do I need to take out the axle and rotor?

The axle bolt on my '01 A6 2.8Q is 17MM allen hex. I bought my driver from McMaster Carr.

I ordered my axles from http://www.raxles.com and they even send you the tools you need to change it out. I haven't opened the package yet since I will not be able to tackle this until the 29th of this month. I will be replacing both axles, control arms and struts.. this will be fun

Thank you for your answer! is it the same socket size to take out the rotor? cause it looks like a big allen. I called the Audi dealership and they told me it was a size 32 or 34. Do you know anything bout this?

If you can't figure out how to remove the rotor, you should not be trying to remove the rotor. You are MUCH better off paying someone to do it right, instead of paying someone to redo it and fix the other things that broke.
