The turbos on my a6 went out so i need new one. I have a budget of $2500 and i want to get some upgraded ones. Tell me whats good!!!!

 

K04's if you can afford them (they will perform like the stock ones if you don't have them chipped but if you chip them they will be very good ). If you can't afford K04's then just go with k03's.

How did BOTH turbos blow out? Usually it's just one and then you replace them both.

 

well my motor blew up and there is a lot of metal shavings and it ruined the turbos so this is a good time to upgrade. i found a set of brand new ko4s for $2300. thats the best so far

Keep us posted on what you do and don't do. Someday I may have the same problem and am curious to understand the options and costs.

 

check with avalon ms, brian usually has stock and good prices, consider getting the 034 ms rs4 inlets and save yourself a bunch more money. this is for RS4 K04's

 

just curious how do you know when a turbo blows? i own an audi but think my turbos on my 2.7t are fine

 

Once you blow one, you will never again need to ask that question
