Default Ideas on CAI

I am thinking about making a custom CAI because it seems as though there are none out there specifically for the A6.

If there are can someone point me in the right direction?

if there arent, would their be an interest in a CAI for the A6, if I started to make some?

Don't know of too many A6er's with custom CAI's. Most would recommend keeping your stock Airbox which is pretty efficient. Planning any other mods besides the CAI?

i think you'd most likely be happier with a K&N drop in... there is not much room for a CAI

something like this....

http://www.eurostyleseast.com/tuning...NC=AUA6-INTAKE

or

http://www.estrictlyforeign.com/asp/...ory=8&ID=11373

any thoughts????

With respect to other mods....

yea I am going to do other things... but I am going to do them with the idea of keeping the car clean.
some of the things up I am thinking about, in no particular order are:

lowering, rims, big brake, either cat back or header back exhaust, turbo upgrade( if I am not poor, LOL), shorter shifter, tinted tail lights (not sure if I want to tint them myself of buy the tinting spray) .....

I have no problem doing custom things to this car, infact that is one of the things that I really enjoy doing, making things that are not found elsewhere....

im not a huge fan of foam filters... think of it this way.... what happens if the foam start deteriorating, where do the pieces go.. yes into your engine.... call me a pessimist about that kinda thing, but its such a horrific thought.

that is a good point, although that would take a long time to do.

plus I have no idea how putting something like that into the stock air box creates 10 hp. that doesnt make sense to me. I would have thought that if they suggested taking out the air box but they are saying that this inserts right into it.
