I vote yes only if you take out your resonator and mufflers as well

Also make sure you know a shop that you can pass inspection at because it will be a bitch to take them off and put them on all the time.

 

here;s my dilemma. She has 251,000 miles on her. She needs 4 new shocks and an axle. I put new rear axles in it less that 3,000 miles ago. Needs both cats (which I could use a line on some cheap ones on-line, hint hint) So do I spend the 600.00 on shocks, and the 200 or so on an axle ? there are no major mechanical problems with the engine, at all (so far, knocks on wood). DOes not burn oil , leaks only slightly (from where I haven't figured out) in the rear. I'm buzzd and torn ..... what to do, what to do......

 

Do you plan on gutting the cats or putting in complete custom made downpipes? As far as i know no one makes downpipes for the 2.8L, it wouldn't benefit you in anyway besides making the car louder. Now if the cats are stock, then they could be a little plugged robbing you of horsepower and gas mileage.

 

Call the guys at Force Five in Concord NH and see what they can do about the cats.. They might have some inexpensive sugestions..
