Thinking of a S6...

Thinking of a S6...
Hi new to the forum and to Audis.
I'm based in the UK and have spotted a few S6 Avants for sale. 2000 models, one has 65K under the tyres. I'm tempted although the dealer wants about 2K £££ over the guide price.
Are they worth the extra juice over the standard 4.2? Or should I say 'ah sod it' and buy a 2.7T?
Any thoughts or suggestions etc welcome
Cheers
Tony

RE: Thinking of a S6...
if you plan on modding, get the 2.7t.... if you want stock power, and the "name" get the s6... either way you will have no regrets, it just depends on what your wants and needs are. I mean if you really wanted performance i would jump up al ittle and go wiht the rs6 but that is a whole different category, haha. But yea, like i said, for modding, get hte 2.7t, for stock power, get the 4.2.
