hello i wanted to find out what is the lowest price that i could possibly pick up a pair of K04 Turbos for, and where or what sight i could find this on, i hear people saying that they can pik them up for anywhere from 700 to 900 but then i hear people selling them for much more, the car im looking to get these turbos for is a 2000 2.7tt audi a6

Can anyone shed some light on labor involved for the upgrade? The whole engine's got to be dropped out.. right? How many hours would I be looking at for a pro to do it?

 

Well, I can't tell whether it is a good deal or not. But my shop quoted me 20 hours for install on the stage3 kit. Hourly rate is $75.
I am going top ask my other shop who just got two excellent mechanics form Germany but they are $95/hr.

 

Formulagigi, that was an interesting link.. I copied it off for future reference. Has anybody used that vendor? Anyway of knowing it the three kits he priced was 100% of what is needed for installing the K04s?

I don't have an immediate need for these, but if I ever have to replace the OEM turbos, I might as well pay a couple thousand more and get the extra hp of the K04s.

Speaking of hp, anyone know what this kit will provide and if it is compatible with a GIAC or APR chip? I'd hate to install this kit and not get the benefits because of the chip.
