Wow, amazing - my car air conditioning controls have ceased working. I can't control what comes out, none of the buttons work and I'm driving home in 50 degree weather with my car spitting out Max AC at 60 degrees. What is going on??? No controls are responding and i cant turn off my ac!

Possibly the HVAC control unit. Pull the fuse or remove the unit and unplug it. You may have to readapt it after, which IIRC requires a VAG tester.
