hey guys i was drifting around today in the snow in my 2.7t A6 and i left it sitting for about 3 minutes. when i got back to it i gave it some gas and it was idling strangely, RPMs weren't going up and it has a loss of power. It was also shaking somewhat. i have a CEL but then it started blinking. i stopped to check it out for a little bit and then it died. i try turning it on and when it turns on it automatically shuts off. I'm in Michigan and its doing about -10 right now. any suggestions?

What is the code?

I agree, take a look at the coil packs.

VAG it, codes would help. If you get a misfire code, then check coil packs though when mine went, I could start and drive the car.

thanks everyone i really appreciate your suggestions. i do actually have a misfire on coilpack 5 i think but that wasnt the reason for this. i feel really stupid to say i ran out of gas. lol the only thing is it told me i had about a gallon left but maybe with this intense cold the sensor read wrong or something. strange how the CEL was blinking though
