I have a 1997 A6 Quattro in my shop with something I haven't seen in 25 year in the field. A good customer asked me to stop by her house to look at something in her garage. I found 3 inch tall inverted stalagmites of grease under her parking spot. Got the car to the shop to find it has a grease, like inner c.v. boot, draining over both sides of transmission. All c.v. boots are in tack. On top of that thepassengers side of transhas an orange color stain as well, like the coolant, but coolant level has been fine. Has anyone ever seen or heard of anything like this? Any help with this pink elephant of mine would be appreciated.

 

What color is the grease?
What type is the transmission - manual?
How long the costumer owns the car?
Used purchased?

 

My first guess is someone over filled a few things, but that is only a guess.
