Okay so I'm having trouble with the MMI in my 2005 a6 3.2 quattro. Sometimes it starts up immediately no problem, while other times it displays the boot up screen, then goes black, back to boot up screen then black, and cycles like this anywhere from a few minutes to 20 minutes. I use the reset function and this seems to work sometimes, but usually not. For the most part I have to let it run its course until it finally comes on. Is there any fix for this? I've read about update CD's for the MMI, could these possibly solve the problem I'm having? Thank you to anyone with info.
