You may benefit from new valve stem seals and many other seals. Stainless steel exhaust manifold and pipe bolts, studs and nuts are also desirable. Corroded studs and bolts have a way of shearing off in the worst possible places even when using penetrating oil.

Well, I got my car back yesterday. The shop said that the hoses seemed better than stock, but not the best aftermarket ones they have seen. The only problems they had were some of the hoses had a larger inner diameter that the outer diameter than the pipes they were connecting to, so getting a good, tight fit was a little problematic. One consequence of all this is that now the engine cover (that says audi bi-turbo) doesn't fit any more.
For $110, which included express shipping, I would say that the hoses are worth it. We will see how they hold up after I get the car chipped.
