Multitronic problem expl.
Hey A6 fans!
2 days ago I drove my A6 2.5TDI Multitronic to Audi Riga for gearbox repairs with a familiar story:
1. Juddering when accelerating, at times also when turning at slow speeds. The defecture seems to be somehow temperature-related, because it was not as pronounced in wintertime,
2. tacho needle swings at all constant speeds below 110 km/h.
3. Twice observed display indicator lighting up all PRND at once. Both times it happened durng slowmoving.
VAS controller reports cristal clear "No faults", and technicians keep on digging.
I studied manuals from erWIN and came up with a defect explanation – that most likely the hydro-mechanical pressure sensor in on of the pulleys together with mechanically contaminated oil is at fault. Oil pressure does not hold resulting in "downshifts" while at constant speeds/oil pressures below 110 km/h(2) and oil pressure increase is interrupted while accelerating (1).
Question – has anybody confirm this or correct me?
Thanks!
