Default Multitronic problem - valve body?

Hello!

I bought my first Audi about a week ago and so far it has not turned out to be great. Afterwards I have learned that I should have read up in beforehand.

Anyway, the car is an A6 1.8T Multitronic with about 10 000 miles on the clock. When I bought the car I drove it very hard in manual mode which worked great but only normally in automatic. It was only until after I had bought the car that I understood that the car runs perfect in manual mode but jerks in automatic, especially att high revs with full throttle.

I took the car to an automatic gearbox specialist and he thinks that he problem is the valve body, but that he is not sure. I live in Sweden and there is not very much knowledge here about these gearboxes, usually they are simply replaced.

My question is if it is likely that it is the valve body that is faulty?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
