Default Need help from you A6 heads

Ok so I'm completely new to the forum and to Audi's. I am not new to fast cars or modding cars. I have a question for you guys because I am buying my A6 this weekend. I have a choice between the 2.7T or the 4.2. I am completely up in the air as to which one to get. I like the idea of a V8 but I miss my turbo. Do more people on here have the 2.7T or the 4.2? Any help would be appreciated... Which one has maintenance issues. Ease of working on. Fun to drive...I appreciate the help guys/gals

The 2.7T can far outperform the 4.2L if you have the money. The 2.7T also requires much more maintance, for me, i would rock the 4.2L and put on a good sounding exhaust system, but thats me. If your looking for 400+ horse power get the 2.7T.

See thats what I'm thinking. I dont really want to get alot of power out of it. I just want a good cruiser that has some get up and go when I need it. I've had the 400+ cars. To tell you the truth i'm over them lol. Well I'm over them until the gas prices drop haha

Thanks I really appreciate the insight. Question for you bdmstang. Who makes an exhaust for the 4.2? I want a deep rumbly sound. Kind of like the G35.
