I have a 2001 Audi A6 Quattro with the 2.7 twin turbo motor and 6 speed manual transmission i was hoping someone on here can help with a part number. I need a passenger side heat shield for my transmission that sticks out the side of the trans to shield the cv axle from exhaust heat. When i bought my car it was missing and all the ones i keep finding on ebay and so on are for automatic transmissions... Dealership wants 179.00 for it but when i asked for the part number they wouldnt give it to me, im guessing they probably figure i will end up buying it used so they wont help.. If anyone knows the number of the part im looking for please let me know as soon as possible i have already had to replace the passenger side cv axle because it was probably cooked from no heat shield and i really dont want to damage this new one by not have the heat shield for it still.. thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give. even if you dont have a part number a pic of the correct heat shield would be useful in finding a used one
