Default Need some advice

So i got my new 2000 a6 2.7t automatic with navigation, and looking to replace the display screen, i found the speedometer for good money that has a screen and matches my old speedometer part #, what i need to do now is reset the miles to my miles so the speedometer would reflect original miles. My question is how woud i do it??? Or do i have to pay my local audi store to do it??? If any body knows please let me know, i will be happy to hear from you. Thank you

I actually just called Audi over here, they will not do it, vag-com wont let you do it either. They recommended this.

Take a picture when you buy the new speedometer, keep the receipt of the new speedometer, and hope the person you are selling to actually believes you! LOL!

well that wont do it, there must be a way to reset the speedometer, than how come dealers offer to sell speedometers??? so if you buy brand new one, than your car is going to have zero miles, it cant be, there is a way to set it up for your car, but any way thanks for reply

I think you have one chance to set the mileage on a new cluster within a certain number of mile of use (less than a hundred or something). So the dealer can set up a new cluster for you, but you cannot change a used cluster.
